Warm greetings to all Indians on this auspicious occasion of Happy 79th Independence Day.
Unfinished Freedom

Seventy–nine dawns the flag has flown,
But freedom’s seed has not yet grown.
The chains are gone, the masters new,
The faces changed, the wounds still true.
Farmers sow with sweat and despair,
Their harvest stolen by greedy care.
The worker bleeds, the wage is thin,
Is this the freedom our martyrs win?
The poor still queue for bread each day,
While rulers feast in grand display.
The Preamble’s dream, so pure, so wide,
Lies trampled under power and pride.
Constitution speaks—its voice is clear,
Justice, equality, all should be near.
Yet promises fade in empty air,
And truth is lost in the ruler’s glare.
O people, rise! Your silence breaks,
The dawn of real freedom awaits.
No throne of lies can stand too long,
The nation’s pulse is fierce and strong.
True Independence is still to be born,
Through people’s fire, through people’s storm.
Till every life has bread and light,
We march, we fight, for what is right.
