Dear Comrades,

As per unanimous decision taken by NJCA in a series of meetings in New Delhi on 08.12.2022, 07.01.2023, 21.01.2023 and declarations adopted thereon, a joint forum comprising of AIRF, NFIR, CCGEW, AIDF,PEF, NMOPS, IPSEF, RKSP, UPTF, AISGEF, AIHE&W Conf., NFPE, DUCHU, Teachers’ Forum, AISPF  etc has been set up under the leadership of Com. Shiv Gopal Mishra (Convenor) for restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS). Accordingly, a series of agitational programmes has been fixed tentatively by the JFROPS as follows.

 

Revival of Old Pension Scheme – Tentative Action Plan

Thus, to give shape to the above rigorous agitational programmes in the State of Odisha, it has been decided to hold a Joint State Level Convention on 5th February, 2023 in Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Unit – III (Behind Keshari Cinema Hall), Bhubaneswar – 751 001 at 10 AM. The Convention will also discuss the issues relating to constitution of 8th CPC, regularization of all part-time, contingent and contract workers including GDS, privatization and corporatization of Govt. establishments and PSUs, filling up of vacant posts, payment of 18 months DA arrear etc including all issues confronted by the employees and workers as a whole.

Therefore, on behalf of NJCA, Odisha we would like to appeal all, especially to the NPS beneficiaries to ensure their participation to bring a thundering success to the Convention.

A joint movement of all the employees and workers is the only alternative to achieve our genuine demands especially for restoration of OPS. Your successful participation can take our movement one step forward. So kindly don’t miss the occasion. There is provision for lunch.

Central, State employees and workers move on for agitation



 

Confederation Odisha State CoC attends the Annual G B Meeting of East Coast Railway Shramik Union in Bhubaneswar on 18.01.2023 with decision to revive NJCA Odisha

 Dear Comrades,

The Annual General Body Meeting of East Coast Railway Sharamik Union was conducted successfully on 18.01.2023 in Rail Auditorium, Bhubaneswar which was addressed by Com. Shiv Gopal Mishra, Chairman NJCA and Leader (Staff Side), National Council Joint Consultative Machinery as Chief Speaker. Criticising the policy deficiencies of the Central Govt., he stressed upon restoration of Old Pension System instead of New Pension System, Constitution of 8th Central Pay Commission, Payment of 18 months D A Arrear etc. and all such issues confronted by the State and Central Govt. employees and workers throughout India.

Addressing the meeting as Hon’ble Speaker, Com. R N Dhal, President explained the need of pension and stressed upon the restoration of NPS. United struggle can only help to achieve the demand. He appealed everybody to come forward and join their hands for the welfare of the entire working class.

Com. Chittaranjan Pattnak, General Secretary, Income Tax Federation, Odisha Circle also calls for united struggle and assured to extend solidarity whenever required. Com.  Ajita Kujur, President, Institute of Physics Association also wished the meeting extending their solidarity.

Addressing the meeting as Hon’ble Speaker, Com. Bruhaspati Samal, General Secretary, Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers briefed the minutes of the meeting dated 8th December, 2022 and 7th January, 2023 held in New Delhi jointly by the NJCA, Confederation of C G Employees and Workers, All India State Govt. Employees Federation (AISGEF), Teachers’ Federation and Paramilitary Pensioners’ Association with unanimous resolution to organize various agitational programmes throughout the year 2023 to achieve the above demands. To bring complete awareness among the employees and workers from all sections, there will be National and State Level Conventions during January, online petitions will be submitted during February, District level rallies during March, gate-meeting and reviews during April, District level mashaal juloos during May, rallies in State capitals during June, mega rally in July and August during monsoon session of the Parliament and Bharat Band during September, 2023.

Along with AIRF and Confederation State leadership, the meeting was participated by leaders and representatives of AISGEF, Odisha State Govt. Employees Coordination Committee, Odisha Secondary School Teachers’ Association (OSSTA), Anganwari Workers’ Association and from various Central Govt. service unions / federations viz; Income Tax, Institute of Physics, GST, AIAIT, CPWD, GSI, CWC, RMRC etc.  and leaders from AISF, AITUC and CITU.

It was unanimously decided to revive NJCA Odisha uniting all sections of employees and workers in the State of Odisha to conduct the above programmes successfully throughout the year 2023. There will be no rest till demands are achieved. The joint convention in Odisha will be held on 5th February, 2023. The details will be notified latter.

The meeting was successfully conducted under the able leadership of Com. P K Patsani, General Secretary and Com. Sunil Mitra, Dy. General Secretary, East Coast Railway Shramik Union.

Brief Report on the Joint Meeting dated 13.01.2023 of Confederation and AISGEF, Odisha State CoC held in Bhubaneswar GPO

 


As per the Notice issued by Confederation Odisha State CoC, the Joint Meeting of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers  and All India State Govt. Employees Federation, Odisha State Coordination Committee was successfully conducted on 13.01.2023 in the premises of Bhubaneswar GPO.

At the outset, Com. B Samal, General Secretary, Confederation Odisha State CoC briefed the minutes of the joint convention of Confederation and AISGEF held in New Delhi on 8th December, 2022 and the proceedings of the 2nd  meeting of NJCA, State Govt. Organizations, Teachers' Organizations and Paramilitary Pensioners' Association on scrapping of NPS and restoration of OPS held in New Delhi on 07.01.2023.

 

            Com. Samal appealed the leadership to take forward the unanimous  decision of the Confederation and AISGEF by organizing several agitational programmes throughout the State of Odisha in coming days  including a State level joint convention.

 

            All the above leaders shared their views and the following decisions were taken.

 

1.    The State Level Joint Convention of Confederation and AISGEF will be organized in Bhubaneswar tentatively on 5th February, 2023.

2.    Com. J K Mishra was requested to finalize the venue and explore the possibility if the auditorium of Institute of Physics will be available on the above date for the purpose failing which other location will be tried.

3.    All the leaders will try to motivate at least 200 members to attend the proposed Convention. 100 members from each organization, i.e. from Confederation and AISGEF will participate.

4.    Tentative expenditure will be shared on 50:50 basis by Confederation and AISGEF, Odisha State CoC.

5.    Respective organizations will fix their quota of members and contribution of the affiliates for the purpose.

6.    The quota fixed for the respective organizations should reach Com. D R Mohanty, Treasurer and LSG Supervisor, Ashoknagar Mukhya Dak Ghar, Bhubaneswar – 751 009 by 25th January, 2023.

7.    The leaders of AISGEF, Odisha State CoC will talk to Com. Shree Kumar, Secretary General, AISGEF and confirm his attendance in the convention as decided by CHQ.

8.    If required, another meeting will be held in the last week of January, 2023 to finalize the programmes in detail.

9.    The meeting was also attended by Com. Sunil Mitra, General Secretary, ECoRSU 4 (East Coast Railway Shramik Union) (AIRF) with an invitation to attend their special meeting in Rail Auditorium, Bhubaneswar on 18.01.2023 which will be addressed especially on restoration of OPS and scrapping up of NPS by Com. Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary, AIRF and Chairman,  National Joint Council of Action. As discussed with Com. Mitra, NJCA, Odisha will be revived to accelerate the movements of the employees and workers in Odisha. 

The leadership of all the affiliated organizations are sincerely requested to attend the meeting in Rail Auditorium, Bhubaneswar at 10 AM on 18.01.2023 with their representatives in huge number.  There is provision for lunch.

 

            Besides, many members from NFPE, Income Tax, GSI, State Govt., other than the office bearers of the CoC had also attended the meeting.

 

The meeting was jointly presided by the Com. R N Dhal and Com. P K Mohanty, President of the Confederation and AISGEF, Odisha State CoC respectively.

 

The vote of thanks was given by Com. D R Mohanty, Treasurer, Confederation Odisha State CoC.

 

The meeting was nicely arranged by NFPE, Bhubaneswar Division. I record my sincere thanks to all the NFPEians of Bhubaneswar Division and the leadership of all affiliated organizations of Confederation and AISGEF who did participate in the meeting.
