Comrade KKN Kutty Remembrance Day - 8th December, 2023, the first Death Anniversary

Dear Comrades ,
On 8th December, 20222, the entire working class in general and the Central Govt. employees in particular got a serious blow with the sudden death of Com. K K N Kutty, the legendary leader of ITEF who had leaded the Confederation of Central  Govt. employees and workers in the capacity of Secretary General, President and Vice President.

Com. Kutty who started his trade union career in Chennai Income Tax Office and was associated in the activities of Confederation Tamil Nadu in the beginning,  had rose to the apex level and started leading the entirety of Central Government Employees and later the Pensioners movement in the country.

Being associated with the JCM National Council and the Standing Committee as the leader of Income Tax employees, he moved with NCCPA President Comrade Shiva Gopal Mishra (Staff Side Secretary) and used to associate in all issues of all Departments and contributed with Comrade S K  Vyas, the former Secretary  General of Confederation in making the Pay Commission Memorandum. His association with international working class movement, WFTU, TUI etc. was also spectacular.

Personally, I had the opportunity to interact with him many times during several strike campaign meetings here in Bhubaneswar, all India  Trade Union classes, NFPE's Federal Executive Meetings and our all India Conferences. I can not forget the sweet memories with him during my special interaction in the national level debate on Memorandum to 7th CPC organized by AIPEU, Gr-C in New Delhi during 2014. I met him last during the All India Conference of AIPEU, Gr-C in Shri Anandapur Sahib, Punjab from 28th to 30th March 2022. (The photo posted below was taken in Shri Anandapur Sahib)

Com. Kutty being a very soft spoken person, used to be very friendly and sharp to all the problems of all Central Govt. Employees and Pensioners. He was very socialistic in life and toiled with class-consciousness.  His tragic loss has created a huge gap in the entire working class movement including the employees and pensioners.

(During Mathura Federal Executive Meeting of NFPE)

On this day (the 8th December, 2023) of his first Death Anniversary, we on behalf of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers, Odisha State CoC, we pay our respectable homage to this towering leader. Let's pledge to follow his footsteps and works for the welfare of the working class.

Com. KKN Kutty, Amar Rahe.
