78th Anniversary of 1946 P & T historic strike

In 1946 the strike, which was started by Postmen and Lower Grade Employees of P&T Dept. based on their own demands, eventually led to the slogan ''British Imperialism quit India." According to materialist historians, like Sri Irfan Habib the history of the country's freedom struggle would not be complete without mentioning this strike. Legendary leader Jyoti Bosu in his book "Jatodur Mane Pore" mentioned this Strike with special gravity and loudly praised the role of P&T employees and leadership taking part in this Strike.
