Narendra Modiji
Hon’ble
Prime Minister of India
South
Block, New Delhi – 110 011
On
behalf of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers, Odisha
State Coordination Committee, Bhubaneswar, we would like extend our heartfelt
congratulations to you on your historic third term victory as the Prime
Minister of India. Your resounding mandate is a testament to the trust and
confidence the citizens of our great nation have in your leadership and vision
for the future. As you embark on this new term, we are confident that under
your guidance, India will continue to prosper and progress towards greater
heights of success and prosperity.
While
celebrating this momentous occasion, we would like to draw your kind attention
to the pressing issues being faced by a significant section of our society,
i.e.; the employees and pensioners. Employees across various sectors face
challenges ranging from job security to fair wages and working conditions.
Pensioners, who have dedicated their lives in service to the nation, deserve a
dignified and comfortable retirement.
Moreover, as known to you, the Central Govt. has already assured that
the Pension Committee constituted during April 2023 is considering all aspects raised
by the Staff Side seriously for the welfare of the pensioners. In addition,
while nearly three lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks working in the Department of Posts
are waiting for their status and pension, lakhs of casual and contractual
workers across the nation in all Departments are yet to be regularized and
nearly 15 lakh vacant posts are yet to be filled in. With your esteemed
position, now holding the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions
on one hand and as the leader of our nation on the other, we believe that you
have a unique opportunity to address these concerns and bring about positive
changes prioritizing the welfare of employees and pensioners. This apart, we do
hope that you can certainly make a significant difference in the lives of
millions of employees and pensioners by not implementing the proposed four
labour codes.
Furthermore,
we encourage you to engage in meaningful dialogue with stakeholders from both
public and private sectors to identify key areas for reform and collaboration.
By fostering a spirit of cooperation and inclusivity, we can work together
towards building a stronger and more prosperous India for all its citizens.
Once
again, congratulations on your historic victory, Sir. We stand ready to support
you in your efforts to create a brighter future for our nation.
With warm regards,
Yours sincerely,
(BRUHASPATI SAMAL)
General Secretary
