Dear Comrades,
At
the outset, I would like to greet you all with warm wishes for the English New
Year 2023. May this New Year bring all sorts of happiness for your family and
the nation as well and energize all of us to perform better and smarter in our
respective fields.
As
aware, I was elected as your General Secretary in the 4th Triennial
Conference held in Bhubaneswar GPO on 7th August, 2022 under a
challenging situation and took over charge from Com. R N Dhal who is now
continuing as our beloved President. A notice was issued on 14th
November, 2022 to organize the first Chief Executive Body Meeting at 17.30
hours on 19.11.2022 in Bhubaneswar GPO to discuss especially on our
participation in the Joint National Convention of AISGSF and Confederation at
Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi on 8th December, 2022 and remittance of
pending quota of our CoC for 3 years towards CHQ. But to my utter surprise,
except some comrades of NFPE including this General Secretary and President, we
witnessed absence of all other affiliated organizations of the CoC which is
highly regretted resulting our absence in the above Conference and no
remittance of the pending quota. It puts a question mark on our unity and trade
union activities.
Now
as per the decision of the above joint convention, a state level convention is
required to be conducted during January, 2023. A copy of the said Circular is
posted below for your kind reference. The leaders of AISF, Odisha State are in
touch with me and expect that we should arrange the same in a nice manner. We
have to finalize the date, venue and contribution for successful conductance of
the proposed convention.
In
this connection, I need your sincere cooperation, active participation and
suitable suggestions. A preliminary preparatory meeting is required to be held as
soon as possible for detailed discussion for the proposed State Level Joint
Convention of AISGEF and Confederation, Odisha.
For
the purpose, I propose to sit in Bhubaneswar GPO on 08.01.2023 (Sunday) at
about 6 PM, if found convenient to one and all. Since I am preoccupied with
another two meetings on 15th and 22nd (both Sundays), we
may alternatively sit on 26th January, 2023.
Hope,
you will all respond in the group to proceed further since I may not be able to
reach everyone personally over telephone.
There
is no other alternative but to save the Unity and the Organization.
Warm
Greetings.
Comradely
yours,
Bruhaspati
Samal
General
Secretary
